Ismail Aboud MSc.

Electrical Engineering

Introduction

Ismail’s journey began with a strong foundation in physics, which sparked his curiosity and laid the groundwork for his future in engineering. Building on this, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, and Automation Engineering, where he developed the technical expertise to address real-world challenges.

Eager to broaden his perspective, Ismail embraced international experiences and volunteering, which enriched his understanding of global engineering practices and the societal impact of his work. This phase shaped his philosophy of creating sustainable, high-quality solutions that not only solve problems but also contribute to long-term progress.

To deepen his expertise, Ismail specialized in High Voltage Engineering and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), gaining advanced knowledge critical to tackling complex electrical engineering challenges. This included mastering standards like IEC 61000, which ensures electromagnetic compatibility in electrical systems, and IEC 60204, which governs the safety of machinery and electrical equipment. His understanding of these norms and regulations allowed him to address product safety, compliance, and eligibility with precision.

Through these experiences, Ismail has become a versatile and impactful engineer, seamlessly combining technical skills, regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to sustainability to deliver innovative and reliable solutions that meet both industry standards and consumer needs.

Partial Discharges

Ensures compliance with IEC 60270 – High-Voltage Test Techniques – Partial Discharge Measurements, focusing on detecting and analyzing small electrical discharges in high-voltage equipment. This expertise guarantees insulation reliability, prevents breakdowns, and maintains safe and efficient operation. With proficiency in testing, monitoring, and diagnosing faults, Ismail contributes to the reliable performance and long-term safety of high-voltage systems.

Electromagnetic Compatibility

Ensures electronic devices operate reliably without causing or being affected by interference through effective shielding, grounding, and filtering, while maintaining full compliance with regulatory standards. Proficient in applying key directives and standards, including:
• 2014/30/EU EMC Directive (CE marking for electromagnetic compatibility)
• IEC/EN 60601-1-2 (Medical electrical equipment – EMC requirements)
• ETSI EN 301489-x (RED Directive 2014/53/EU, Article 3.1(b) for EMC in radio equipment)
• IEC/EN 50121-x (Railway applications – EMC requirements)
• IEC/EN 62233 (EMF tests for evaluating electromagnetic fields)
• FCC 47 CFR Part 15 / Part 18 (ANSI/IEEE 63.4 for radio frequency devices in the United States).
This expertise ensures compliance across diverse industries, enhancing device reliability and safety in complex electromagnetic environments.

Grid Compliance

Ensures energy systems comply with technical and regulatory standards for safe and efficient grid integration, adhering to EU network codes and the Regulation (EC 714/2009) for cross-border electricity exchanges. Focuses on system stability, renewable energy integration, and compliance with frameworks like the Guarantee of Origin (GoO), ensuring transparent certification and seamless grid operations in line with EU and local regulations.
